Remembering Pearl Harbor

Today we honor the lives that were lost at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, on December 7, 1941. On this day, the Japanese launched an attack on the American naval base, sinking the USS Arizona and the USS Oklahoma and killing or injuring thousands of Americans. President Roosevelt famously called it “a date which will live in infamy.” The attack brought America into World War II and turned the tide of the war, leading to victory for the Allies over the Axis.
