Healthy Strawberry Banana Frozen Yogurt

You scream, I scream, we all scream for … frozen yogurt! Admittedly, it’s not as catchy sounding, but with nothing but fresh fruit and creamy Greek yogurt, this variation on everyone’s favorite summertime dessert is as healthy as it is easy to make. As a bonus, the recipe’s video shows variations for Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip, Matcha, and Coconut Mango, so you’re sure to find something to please everyone in the family. And since July 16 is National Ice Cream today, you have the perfect summer day to beat the heat and enjoy this treat. (We won’t tell anyone it’s yogurt and not ice cream!)

Servings: 4

Ingredients

3 c. frozen strawberries

2 bananas, frozen and sliced

½ c. Greek yogurt

Toppings (optional)

Preparation

  1. Combine ingredients into a food processor or high-speed blender. Blend until mixture is consistently pink and completely smooth.

  2. Pour into a pan and smooth into an even layer.

  3. Freeze for 2 hours, or until frozen but still a little soft for scooping. (If freezing overnight, cover with a lid or plastic wrap, but let it sit out at room temperature for about 5-10 minutes before scooping.)

  4. Scoop into a bowl and top with your favorite toppings.

  5. Enjoy!
