Find Your Roots on National Genealogy Day

Climbing the family tree can be fascinating. Perhaps you have royalty in your bloodline, or a warrior, or an artist! Even the lives of regular people from the past seem more interesting if you know they’re related to you. Here are a couple of ways to celebrate the day.

  1. Order a DNA kit for yourself (or your pet!).

  2. Try to add some names to your family tree (yes, even if you have to call your old Aunt Georgia, who forgets your name but remembers everything before 1950).

  3. Visit relatives who have passed at the cemetery.

  4. Ask a relative about their life and take notes or record the conversation.
