Giving Thanks, All Year Round
At this time of year, it's usual to count your blessings and to give thanks for the people who enrich your life. But why limit our gratitude to just one season in the year? Here are some ideas for making those special people feel appreciated, no matter what season it is.
Flowers aren't just for anniversaries.
Coming home to a bunch of fresh flowers on the dining table will surely brighten your S.O.'s day. And what about the secretary that routes your calls, or the partner you just completed a project with, or your best friend?
Food: the universal language.
A surprise tin of homemade cookies, a dozen cupcakes, or even picking up their favorite candy bar for no reason at all is a great way to say I appreciate you!
Use your words.
Wouldn't it be lovely to find a thank-you card or note on your desk or chest of drawers? Especially if it's not your birthday, or anniversary, or a holiday. If you purchase greeting cards with messages already inside them, you should add a personal touch, but even better is writing your own message of thanks.
Happy Thanksgiving!
