We all enjoy having the first Monday in September as a holiday, but how did we get here? Why don't we work on "labor" day? It all started with American workers who were fed up with unfair wages and dangerous working conditions. So, they decided to do something about it:

The 8-hour workday was a hard-won victory that saw many workers jailed and even killed in the pursuit of unionization and fair labor laws. Take a moment to remember all the fighters from the past as you celebrate the Labor Day holiday.
